Apple Cider Vinegar – is very commonly used in the treatment of nail or toenail fungus.  Apple cider vinegar contains an acidic which helps in the reduction and spreading of fungal infections.  In this home remedy simply mix equal parts of water and apple cider vinegar into a large bucket or foot bath tub.  You then soak the infected nails or toenails in the mixture.  Make sure that your nails or toenails are completely submerged in the mixture.  Follow this procedure for at least 15-20 minutes for best results.  After the nails have set in the mixture for the required time simply dry the nails thoroughly with either a clean towel or a blow dryer.  Repeat this procedure as many as 2-3 times a day each day until the nail fungus is no longer present.  You can also use undiluted lemon juice rather than apple cider vinegar if you wish.  Lemon juice is also contains an acidic and will give you the same results.

Tea Tree Oil – is also a very commonly used treatment for nail and toenail fungus.  This is because tea tree oil is a fungicide and has properties of an antiseptic which makes this extremely effective in the treatment of different forms of fungus.  Simply apply a few drops of the tea tree oil to the affected areas of the nail or toenail.  You will want to leave the solution on the nail or toenail for at least 15-20 minutes and then scrub the nail or toenail with a soft toothbrush.  As you scrub, the tea tree oil will spread and also go under the nail itself for further treatment of the fungus.  Repeat this process up to 3-4 times a day until the fungus is completely gone from the nail or toenail.  Tea tree oil can be found at your local pharmacy or nutritional store and can produce the results you want in a matter of days.

Listerine – can help more than just your mouth, it can also help you in the treatment of nail and toenail fungus.  This is because Listerine contains alcohols such as salicylate thymol and eucalyptol which helps in the fight against most common funguses.  You can incorporate both Listerine and apple cider vinegar.  Mix equal parts of Listerine and apple cider vinegar in a foot bath tub or a bucket and then soak the affected nails or toenails in the mixture.  Keep the nails and toenails submerged for 15-20 minutes for best results.  Repeat this process as many as 3-4 times a day until the nail or toenail fungus is completely gone.  Repeating the procedure after the fungal infection is gone can also prevent from any other reoccurrences of the nail or toenail fungus.
