Home Remedies for Stomach Aches

Almost everyone at some time in their life has encountered a stomach ache.  Along with a stomach aching in pain, you also can get symptoms of nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting also.  A stomach ache can be caused by many different things such as a certain food not agreeing with your stomach, bad food, or simply an onset of a virus starting to form.   What many people don’t know is that viruses can’t be cured; they simply have to run their course and make its way out of your system. However, there are home remedies that you can use to help with the symptoms of a stomach ache and the associated symptoms.  Here are the top home remedies that are most commonly used.

Remedy 1 – You may want to increase your intake of fruits and vegetables such as bananas or papaya which are very helpful in curing a stomach ache.  Make sure that you are reducing the intake of non-vegetarian foods such as meats and also dairy foods such as milk as they will only upset your stomach.  Drinking liquids such as sprite or 7up is easier for an upset stomach to handle and also helps ease the pain.  Make sure that whatever liquids you choose to ingest that they are clear liquids, dark liquids will only make you symptoms of a stomach ache worsen.

Remedy 2 – Garlic and ginger are very effective in reducing the pain and discomfort of a stomach ache.  Garlic helps cleanse the blood and helps give you an appetite during your stomach ache bout.  Ginger helps with the digestive functions of the body, which is also a plus in flushing out whatever is causing your stomach pains.  Simply take a clove of raw garlic and mix it with one cup of raw ginger juice.  You can take this mixture 2-3 day until your stomach pains subside.  This is a very useful home remedy to help ease the pain due to your stomach ache.

Remedy 3 - Another great home remedy that you might want to try uses lemons, ginger, and mint.  In this home remedy you will want to mix ¼ of a cup of lemon, ginger, and mint.  You may also want to add a pinch of rock salt.  Drink the mixture early in the morning and repeat the procedure periodically during the day at least 2-3 times a day if your stomach pains still occur.  This home remedy not only reduces gas trapped in your stomach which causes a lot of stomach pain problems, but it also improves blood circulation.

Remedy 4 -   You may also want to try soaking cardamom seeds for at least 10-15 minutes in boiling water and then consuming them at least 3 times a day.  This home remedy not only helps reduce stomach ache problems but it also helps flush out any virus they may be starting up.

Remedy 5 - Another great mixture you can create to help with your stomach pains is by preparing a powder by mixing equal amounts of black salt, cumin seeds, black pepper, garlic, dry ginger, mint, coriander, and asafetida.  Simply mix all of the ingredients into a glass of water and then consume the mixture at least 2-3 times a day.  You can also take this mixture before meals to help reduce any reoccurring stomach pains for the remainder of the course of the virus.
